The South East Climate Alliance (SECA) held its first knowledge sharing event on March 25th, with a deep dive into the issues around methane’s role as the second biggest contributor to global warming behind carbon dioxide.
The session focused on methane’s role in oil and gas production, with speakers including SECA members Danny Lee (Petersfield Climate Action Network) and Emily Mott (Weald Action Group) as well as James Turitto of the Clean Air Task Force.
This blog by the event organisers outlines the session’s content, and you can watch the video on SECA’s YouTube channel. We talked about how SECA can engage on the issue in future, and anyone interested in taking the discussions further is welcome to get in touch.
